Children Learning

These play experiences will be developed by the teachers based on three different approaches. The three different approaches are child directed, project and literacy. We believe that the teacher’s job is to develop children in all five domains of learning: Physical (Large and Small Motor), Cognitive, Social/Emotional and Language. We allow children to experience developmentally appropriate activities. The center believes that young children respond to positive guidance and discipline practices. The center believes that the social/emotional development of children is the foundation for all other learning to take place. If children are able to utilize social/emotional skills, they will be able to address all other domains. We believe that all children need to have the opportunity to experience activities and classroom environments that reflect each individual child.
